Is it ok if my chicken crop is empty?

If you go on the Purina Canada website and select 'locate a retailer' you can put in your post code and it will tell you all the stores that sell Purina animal feed. Not saying you have to buy Purina which might be pricey but those stores will carry more than one brand of chicken food.

In the morning I fed them corn grits, corn meal with oats and pumpkin seeds and some raw rice but they don’t rlly eat it because I see their crop is empty. I see them pecking the grass and occasionally going to my door and pecking it. Are they hungry? I don’t know what to do. But they were preening themselves and wagging tail a bit at the door

They sell layer pellets. They are in Canada. Check your local feed stores.

Careful not to feed pepper seeds - they can be toxic. The pepper itself is ok in moderation but never the seeds! The chicken pellets or crumble is important for them because it contains all the vitamins and minerals they need to stay healthy. You can buy layer feed on Chewy.com. https://www.chewy.com/b/food-951?gc...AaIHUEmkLM1xceP-JVM4KRf-YYnSmcARoC5FIQAvD_BwE

also, this is a list of Canadian hatcheries. I am sure that one of them might be able to help you find a source for feed.
