Is it ok to let a broody hatch and raise show stock?

Im getting 6 silkie eggs to hatch to show and i have 2 broody silkies and was wondering if i could let them hatch and raise the chicks? If so, when do i take the chicks from momma? thanks

First, with eggs, there is no guarantee that any chicks that might hatch will be show quality. Second, you should not show a bird younger than 6 months (at minimum--8 to 10 months minimum is better). Mama hens genderally kick their chicks out at 6 to 8 weeks, so you can certainly let her raise them as long as she will.
