I have the chance to buy two young hens - Belvedere/silky cross and a Monique /silky cross. They are being hand raised.

My research tells me that both the Belvedere and the Monique tend to be broody and silkies are really broody!

Anyone had these types of crosses or can give me advice on what to expect? I’d love to add them to my small flock but broody hens can be a bit disruptive and I don’t have eggs for them to hatch. Thank you.

I am sorry no one has responded to your post yet! I don't have experience with those crosses, but if they're both really broody breeds then they'll most likely go broody :). So if that's not something you want, maybe don't get them? Hope this helps!
