My wyndotte chick is about 5~6 week old. Is it OK to move it out with coop. I am in Seattle, rainy recently and the temp is about 10 degree (C) or 52 degrees (F) at night.

You are right. The coop is windproof and no adult in coop.
Thank you for your reply.

I moved my little ones (buff sussex) outside at 5 weeks old with no problems It was about 10-13 degrees C at night here, and I put them in a dog crate within the coop. Your chicks should be fine.

I had my pair outside in winter at 5 weeks. I set up an extra roost in a nest box and hung up a 'curtain' so they could sit in there and have a smaller space to heat up to sleep in.

Now it's everyone's favourite nest box because of the 'privacy curtain' LOL

Will this one chick be alone? I think with more than one they tend to huddle together for warmth and comfort. I'm not so sure about just one. Seems like it would be a lot colder and/or scared than with buddies.
