Is it possible for a goose to lay this late in year??

I just found an egg from my Pilgrims. I've also seen them mating recently. I read somewhere that some geese can lay in the spring, and if they're good layers, again in the fall. I guess I'll try incubating these eggs since I didn't have very good luck this spring. Anyone here locally interested in Pilgrim goslings???

A few of our sebastopols have laid 5 or so eggs so far. I don't want to incubate any right now though due to the temperature dropping.

Yay, so glad to hear they could be goose eggs!! Our male died over the weekend (when we were gone and the person taking care of them did not lock them in the coop one night

) so I am hoping and praying that these babies hatch, I only got 2 goose eggs and put them in the incubator last night with some duck eggs.

I have found with my spring hatched Sebastopols that the young female geese will play at building a nest and sometimes lay an egg. I have had several of mine do this. They
are not fertile as the ganders are not interested in the fall!
