Is it possible to have just one chicken with respiratory problems?

I would if I could, but my parents don’t think we should. My mom doesn’t think his “allergies” are contagious, and they are against culling, for the most part. It’s really not up to me. Sad thing is that he will most likely be culled and probably end up eaten, if I had to guess. He just can’t stay here any longer.
That's too bad:(

I know. I really wish I could do more, but my mom doesn’t understand. Honestly, if it were up to me, I would keep him in a separate coop with some girls of his own, but I can’t. I really love him, but it’s just not meant to be. My poor buddy.

Quarantining is a must and we’ve had one boy who had this and luckily did not spread it to others. He had those bubbles too. Before antibiotics VetRx drops up into top of beak so it comes out eyes (I know so weird) did a lot to help. Also nutridrench & probiotics in water.

But like the others said it’s highly contagious, they may all have it but may never have symptoms, he might have been hatched with it.

Keep an eye out for this though…

He was beautiful. I'm so sorry you had to make this choice. I hope he finds someone as caring as you and gets himself some hens :)

Thank you! We actually kept him. We figured out a way to separate him with my special needs flock, and he’s doing a lot better! His respiratory issues are hardly noticeable now that he isn’t constantly stressed because of our other rooster.

That's great!! Warms my heart to hear that! I wish them all a long, happy, healthy life :D
