Is it still possible to tame two week old red golden pheasant chick as a pet?

Can you please confirm by providing proof of that so called PetSmart rule? I don’t see any posted sign on their store entrance or their website.
I used to work at Petsmart many moons ago. While I was there, they had no rule of which animal you brought in, as long as it was vaccinated and leashed at all times. That being said, I think 21 hens has a good point on exposing their birds for sale to your pheasant. And Petsmart's rules on animals coming in might have changed since I was there

And maybe I’m still living with my parents because housing is very expensive now, maybe I have medical health issues, and maybe I’m trying to save money in case there’s another global disaster.
Calm down. We are just trying to help you help your bird. Lots of good advice has been given. Please consider it

If any of that is true then you should not get a bird (expensive and you are trying to save money); And if you have a health condition preventing you from living on your own, then you should check with your parents. And as to the last bit, I would not get a bird and make it into a pet if there is a global disaster (hard to eat something you made into a pet ;) )
But on more serious note don't sedate you bird just to make her easier to handle.
We are not anti-pet-bird just anti-sedating-pet-bird.

I go to PetSmart all the time. They don’t have many birds for sale anymore because there’s not a lot of breeders. And until they post a sign prohibiting customers bringing their pet birds into the store, then what you’re saying is not true.

I never said it was prohibited. Reread my post

I didn't say it was a rule. I said it may not be as welcome as you hope. I said it is a potential risk for their product (the birds they DO have for sale).

It is something to ask about before just doing it.
