Hi all you wonderful chicken people! I'd like your thoughts please.
To cut the long story short, I've rescued 2 appenzellers who used to live with a roo as a breeding trio. They came to us filthy and not knowing what the freeranging was.
They've spent few weeks in quarantine and now running the garden with our 7 smaller girls and 1roo. Although they keep their distance they are pretty much together.
Now, the appenzellers go to sleep in the Wendy house and the rest go to their coop. In the last few days I've been finding appenzellers eggs in the nest boxes of the coop.
I'd like for them to move in together as I need the Wendy house back for our rabbits.
What's the best way to do this please? The zellas go to sleep an hour earlier than the rest.
Thanks x

So they're spending the days with the other birds just fine? No real bullying issues?

Really the answer is simple as closing off access to the building they're currently using, and hopefully 🤞they'll follow the others into the coop. If they don't voluntarily do so by the evening (they may just lie down in front of their former home) then go out and pick them up and manually put them in the coop.
