Wanted to make an incubator and try out some eggs. My friend here locally has fertile hens and offered me some eggs but with it getting cold would it be to late to try and incubate them?

i say its never too late ! you will just have to have a brooder and a heat lamp. my hen is still sitting, not that i wanted her to but it kinda snuck up on me . they will probably stay in brooder till close to spring, depends on your weather.

Tomorrow morning it will be around the 20's but will warm back up to the 60's. Im just wondering will the eggs even be active that cold. And iive expected to keep them inside for awhile, like into the spring. But if shes still laying are eggs any good this time a yr?
