Is it TOO cheap? Christmas Help

I'm thinking that'll be the way to go. Get some of those cookie tins, make cookies for "families" instead of for each person.

I went to look at fleece and it was $9.99/ yard. WAY more than I want to spend on each person.

Joann's has fleece on sale this week: 50% off. Normally 7.99-24.99/yd now 3.99-12.49/yd.

I'm making a turkey calendar with everybody's birthday, anniversary dates etc. I have so many cute turkey pics from all year round and I thought it would be fun since everyone knows how obsessed I am with turkeys. So feel free to steal my idea!

Usually fleece at hobby lobby is much cheaper, and is usually on sale or you can use the 40% off coupon. You can easily make very inexpensive mitten/scarf sets for the kids. Just one yard of fleece should make 4 sets. Super fun, cheap, and easy. You can probably get the fleece down to $4 a yard or so with the coupon. If you are interested let me know and I'll give you the instructions. If you want to you can even make an easy hat, but might only get 2.5 sets per yard.

Everybody loves homemade stuff at Christmas. I don't think anybody thinks about it being "cheap". I think your ideas are great. After we grew up and moved out of the house, my Mother used to make each of us a big plate of homemade Christmas cookies, all the ones we loved as kids when we were growing up. It was always one of my favorite presents. I was sad when she was no longer able to do that. She also made homemade Christmas tree ornaments, and so did my grandma and my aunt. My grandma and aunt made beautiful ones, I still have some of them, and my mother made Christmas spiders one year, there is a an old Christmas story about a silver spider in the Christmas tree, and that's what she was trying to represent. Just an inexpensive thing to make, but I love my spider, I put it on the tree every year , it's supposed to bring luck, and it reminds me of her; she died three years ago at Christmas time.

Ropo, anyone who cares about you will love the thought and warmth that goes into whatever you give them. The fact that you are even remotely worried about it shows what a good heart you have.

LOL...I "think" you guys think I have more talent than I do!

I was going to cut the fleece at the ends and tie the ends together with another type of fabric. I can't sew, I can bake REALLY well, but I can't can because I don't have a garden to grow things in. Apartment complexes aren't too favorable for "roughing" it. A nice strawberry patch would have been nice...
