Is my almost hen broody? When will the eggs hatch?

Congrats with Enola, I hope the other eggs will hatch too soon.NatJ is right , she wont be alone, but more chicks is more interaction and fun.
Best discard the egg that didn’t make it.

Somewhere at the start I recommended to break the broodiness of this young broody and give it a try in spring. I still believe that would have been much easier. But so far you both did a great job.

Oh ok well sometimes some will hatch late I had a hen that hatched 2 babies on day 20 and then 1 more hatched on the day 25. She had even been taking her babies out some and would go back and sit

That is really amazing.
Broodies often leave the eggs after about 3 days after the first one hatched.

My broodies didn't even bother to look after a chick that struggled to hatch and hatched later. It was peeping and not strong enough to come along with the other chicks. I took her/him inside during the day, kept it warm and gave a little water with electrolytes. In the evening I put the chick under one of the mama’s. Next day it was strong enough to go on an insect hunt with the others.

Here are some more cute pictures! Enola is super sweet and not afraid of hands at all! When she drinks it’s just the cutest thing! Her feet are feathered and so fluffy. I can’t wait to see what her feathers will look like but I also want her to stay little forever! Today would be day three if you count the day she hatched as day one.

Maybe just the pictures but make sure those crumbles are small enough she can eat fine. They look on the bigger side to me from the pics but you can crush them smaller if need be. But I have also seen hen crush them up for chicks! Your mom and baby are adorable! Hope another is on its way!

I was wondering about that it’s chick feed i don’t remember if I fed this kind to my babies I will check and crush them if needed.
