Is my Blue Ameraucana Cockeral show quality?

Ok, great. Thank you very much!

I just know he is great looking I have lavender but my cockerels are not full grown at all and I have never considered showing them 004.jpg

@Ravynscroft -
I don't think blue Ameraucanas need lacing?

All blues should be laced, actually... that blue is commonly called Andalusian Blue to differentiate it from Self Blue, and if you look at the breed Andausian, you will see how blue is really supposed to look... :)

Not my pics, just example... these are Andalusians... see the difference?

Yes, I see. But is it still ok for a americauna to be this kind of blue?

It will be a markdown in judging is all... if his type is better than his competition, that will count for more...

Type is more important... *but* another thing is, each judge has their own preferences... one judge may favor different points of the bird over another judge...

I do know that in most breeds that aren't Andalusians, the lacing isn't common. It got lost in the crossbreeding. There are some breeders working to fix that
