So is she a purple hen?
 
Yes, she is a purple female. She is a sexliinked color and should be bred to a male that will have the purple color gene to make purple. george @ connerhills
 
Yes thats a purple hen.. Are the BS male in the pic from the same parents if so he may be split purple.

She could have a male split purple , reason you may not have seen one. Male can be split to purple and some of his daughter will be purple. Some of his sons will also split purple. Only way you will know is to breed him.

A fact about your purple hen all her sons will be split purple, but none of her daughter, unless their father is purple or split purple.
