I just gave them their 2nd dose right in their mouths. They sure don't like it but who would. We are hesitant to mix it in the drinking water because they spill so much of it and that bottle isnt cheap.

Be careful not to squirt down their throats it can go into their air sacs and cause pneumonia. Your only doing this 1X a day?

Oh no! I didn't know that! Kinda what I was doing. I'm a novice at ducks. Will keep this in mind for future reference. And yes, I did it once yesterday evening and once just now.

So what is the best way to get them to get the medicine without wasting any?

I would wrap them in a towel that makes it easier. Don't jam the syringe down their throat press it slowly in the side of their beaks.

Remember it matters which side of the mouth the syringe is on.

That makes sense now. Just found a picture of a bird's anatomy and the esophagus is on the right side. I realize different species can be different though, this is a pigeon

Lets see if @casportpony can help she has done tube feeding with ducks and most likely used a syringe too.
