Your Birds don't live outside? I just destroy the nest everyday and collect the eggs. I only hatch in the spring.
I toss out eggs or feed to my dogs.

They live inside because they're so small, and have outside time in an enclosed area. We have lots of predators because we're out in the woods.

Hemmie might like to have a scrambled egg or 2 every once in a while. Duck eggs are great for baked goods! I hope it’s just moody your seeing. You know how us females are with the hormones? Moody is just one symptom

No wonder she was moody. Totally hormones- if I was carrying an egg I'd be moody, too! I think I'm going to leave it and see if she has any interest in sitting on it.

These are frozen eggs and poopy so not a big deal. I don't eat duck eggs.

Just wash the poopy off

That is what I do. Wipe it off with a damp paper towel. I cannot waste my lovely gem of duck eggs. I have about 3 dozen in the fridge right now. Some of my girls are taking a break and some are on their 1st season. Either way they keep on coming and it makes me happy.
