Hello guys!

I'm not an expert in raising ducks. So please help me. My parents got two ducks as pets. Recently, one of my ducks (a few months old) had a sudden attack, she started fluttering her wings and fell down. She is not able to walk and hold her head since then. We took her inside home, away from the other duck, put in our bathroom. We consulted a local paramedic (there are not many vets in my region), they gave some vitamin tablets and antibiotics (Cepholexin). She was not able to eat on her own for the day 1 and day 2, we had to feed her with syringe. Day 3, she started eating a little on her own. It seemed like she is improving, but it's day 5 and still she is weak, doesn't eat much, always sleeping with her head down. And still not walking. I'm really worried. What should I do? When will she be able to walk again? Are we doing something wrong? Please advice.

Also, the other duck, she is unable to see properly. Always closes her eyes. One eye had small white dots on the cornea and is watery. Her beaks have some black spots and it's on her legs too. Is this some kind of infection? Please help me with this too.

welcome to BYC! How much does she weigh and how much cephalexin did you give?
What kins of food do you feed? What country do you live in?

I am from South India. My duck is Pekin breed. She is 4 months old. We gave, 1 gm Cephalexin in 1 litre of water. 2 vitamin tablets per day mixed with water. But she drank less than a litre water everyday. She likes to eat cucumber, onions, cabbage, green leaves, noseberry. We usually cut them small, mix with water and give her.

An update, she got worse now. She is not waking up. Even if she opens her eyes because of disturbance, she closes her eyes again in seconds. She seems very tired. And her poop is black in colour.

Will she recover :(
