I have hatched a goose egg only once before and that was a miracle in itself.

He really wasn't supposed to make it, but he did! And now I have another one, four years later. Both eggs were rescued from parents that were killed by raccoons. Anyway, this time around, I don't have an incubator anymore. (I might possibly be able to get one soon, not sure). For now, I have the egg in a shoe box with a towel on the bottom. I covered half of the box with plastic wrap, put a damp towel on the uncovered side and have a 60 watt bulb directly over the uncovered side with the egg on the covered side. It was a "homemade incubator" I found online. Seems to be keeping it warm for now, not sure if it's good enough, and I've been turning it and such. I've only had it for about 23 hours and I candled it and such, but I don't really remember what I'm looking for. He is obviously within 3 days of fertilization, so I know I shouldn't really see much, but I really really hope it's good! :) So far, I think it is. I remember one thing about the first egg is that I never saw a single vein once during the entire incubation period, but he still hatched into a beautiful and healthy gosling! :) So assuming that this egg is technically on day 1-2, does it look possibly fertilized to you?
