Is my egg still viable for hatching?

Hello. I was wondering if my egg is still viable for hatching. My rooster took the egg from my broody yesterday. I found the egg this morning in some weeds and it was a bit sticky. The hen has been sitting on that egg since Tuesday or Monday. thank you

There sure is it's very simple,candling is taking a light or a flashlight and shining it in the egg, to see if they is any development, what day are your eggs?

Sadly i cant candle the egg because the egg shell is too dark. The eggs are six days old now.

Oh ok so are the eggs like dark as in a dark laying hen or just dark inside? eggs shouldn't be dark inside quite yet.

I thought the egg smelled funny so i opened it up and it was rotten and it blew up

. Luckily i did not get any of it on me
