We have only had chickens since last fall, so I am not hip on all the quirky chicken behaviors yet! My frizzle hen started to sit in the nest yesterday and we have taken her out twice to drink and eat. She goes right back to the nest. There are eggs under her each time. We do not have a rooster, but could she be brooding? She is also losing the feathers on her belly and her wing feathers look sparse too. Is this normal?
