Is my new Blue Laced Red Wyandotte a good quality bird?

If you want to breed them...whether 'it' turns out to be a roo or not get a nice dark blue roo to use on your splash hens. When you breed splash to splash each generation gets lighter and lighter with poorer lacing.

The more I look at pictures and the more I read, the more I'm pretty sure that y'all are right. My hen is most likely a roo. I really, really, hope the other two are hens. As long as the roo is a nice fellow (and not too noisy for the neighbors) I will plan to keep him. But the eggs will have to wait a while longer! The breeder had some dark chicks. I may try to talk with him and see if I could purchase one to add to the flock.
Thanks

This is an update. This one is definitely a Roo. I'm not upset about it. I hope to breed them. I have 1 roo and 2 hens. Still waiting for the first egg. Probably another 6 weeks or so. Thanks.
