It could be, jazzy had something like that, not as much. I have been gone most of the day today and when I let her out she had not peed all day in her litter box and when she did go outside she had some mucus like stuff discharge. She is also so swollen back their that even her butt is swollen. I was told that is a sign they are getting close. my sister's cat is acting like she is going to have her kittens, my luck she calls me over there to help and I come home and jazzy has hers. lol

I have been following this thread just mostly b/c I have never seen a baby pot belly pig but, I am also intrigued to see what the results are either way. I'm here for you, I hope something happens soon one war or the other :)

Thank you for the support SD bird lady. I am glad to report that I have not seen any blood since saturday or sunday I think. I can't remember exactly but I know it has been several days, and I have even started letting her go outside and grass. It was funny watching her step over a board I have up. She got her front legs over no problem then she had to draaaggg her belly over and THEN she had to wiggle a little to get her back legs over. Lets just say she hasn't attempted it again. I laughed so hard, it kind of reminded me of a pregnant woman trying to bend down to pick something up.

I actually spoke to soon their was blood in the bathroom saturday morning. I was at my sister's until 1 in the morning because her cat was having a hard labor and when I came home it was there. Watching my sister's cat with her labor it made me think that she (jazzy) might have aborted some of her babies and that is the sacs popping or something. It happened with minice(my sis cat). there were a sac to pop that was bloody with no baby in it. Sadly we had to take minice to the vet saturday morning to be euthanized, she could not have the kittens and she had gone on for so long that it distroyed her liver and would not have survived surgery. She had been bitten on the face by something that day and I think it sent her into labor to early and weakened her. we are all torn up about it, she was a special crazy cat.

All my wonder friends out there that have helped me with Jazzy I have another question. I don't really have an outside encloser for her to have her babies out there and I had an idea and I want to run it by all you piggie folks out there. First off to let everyone know the carpet is up out of the room I am talking about. I was thinking of building a crate type deal in one of my rooms, Have it about 2 feet high with a door I can have her go in and out of. It of course would be inside and large enough for her to move around and have her litter box. I would also have it set up so when she farrows I can put in a divider that will block her in only part of it but has a space under which the babies can come and go. It would be on the concrete floor so I know I would have to have bedding specially for the baby pigs and I do have a heating pad and heat lamp for them as well. I think this would be better and I would also get my bathroom back. I also don't want her to have the babies under my sink, that would not be good. Tell me what you guys think and what you would do to improve or any other ideas you may have. Thanks!!

I think that sounds fine. She's a house pig and that's what she's used too. I would reccomend a tarp then bedding over the top. That way nothing seeps into the concrete. Go to local salvation army or resale shop and get used blankets or towels and use that for bedding. Toss or wash when thru. Sorry about sisters cat. Hard when u lose mom and babies.
