I recently read some comments saying red feathers on wings and back mean rooster? Any truth to that? I ordered all pullets. I did get a free one also. Any way you can tell already? They are 1 month old.

I know that the two bigger ones, that have the red and are suspect to me, fight eachother quite a bitThere is truth to it. If I had to guess now, I would say the chick in the bottom picture is probably a cockerel and the other probably a pullet. But it's early days. 6 to 8 weeks is the best time to start sexing unless big and red combs make it obvious earlier.
Nothing obvious to me with combs yet, I think they both have pea combs.I know that the two bigger ones, that have the red and are suspect to me, fight eachother quite a bit
Fighting doesn't mean much at that age. Pullets can be just as spunky as cockerels.I know that the two bigger ones, that have the red and are suspect to me, fight eachother quite a bit
That’s what I was afraid ofThe one on the second to last photo is 99% a cockerel. Feathered in the same as my previous EE cockerel.
