Is Santa real?

I can't remember how old I was - somewhere between 4 and 6 - I got up to go to the bathroom and heard a tiny noise in the living room. I peeked around the corner just as he was leaving our house. I'm now 55 and that memory is a clear as clear can be. I also saw the Easter Bunny once.

I'm not pulling your leg or making this up.

My parents weren't the type to dress up. No how, no way. Sad to say, Christmas Eve would normally find Dad passed out from all the partying.

I told the kids about it while they were growing up. Once we put some Christmas fur in the door to look like someone got stuck while leaving. Another time made a ton of cloth elves and told the kids how if the sun came up and they were still working on the tree, they turned into toys.

Our children are all 30ish now. I've asked if they felt we shouldn't have told them all the tales about fairies and Santa and Wally World (That's another tale - someday), and they replied "NO! We loved those stories and plan on telling the same things to our kids."

Granted, I had to create Santa Claus for our children but I still remember the night I caught a glimpse of him leaving the house.

Lately, I'm not sure why, but my little boy has had such nice behavior. Just really helpful, please and thank you. I just know he must be thinking about Santa coming to visit soon.

He recently started guitar lessons and has been playing and singing "Gingle Bells". We put up the christmas tree and he has had such a wonderful time decorating. Even did some extra cleaning and dusting the furniture in mom and dads bedroom.

Mom came home from work and "little bit" said, "Moma look what I found while cleaning and dusting your bedroom furniture!" "Two of my baby teeth in a ziplock sandwich bag." "Hehehehe, we forgot to put them under my pillow for the tooth fairy! Singing, "I'm getting some money from the tooth fairy!" "How did we forget to leave these teeth for the tooth fairy, moma?"

Says, "Dad I'm afraid for you to leave the door unlocked for Santa but don't worry cause I'll ask him to use his magic and come in through the fireplace." That boy has even got me all excited about Santa Claus! I sure hope I'm on Santa's good list.

One Christmas Eve, I think I was 5 or 6, I was lying awake in bed and I heard some distant sleigh bells. I got up and peeked out the window, and just caught a glimpse of a tiny red light zooming across the sky. That memory left Santa Claus alive to me for quit some time.

I plan to hide by the fireplace this year with a club and get all the toys.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

(That's evil laughter. Not sure about the spelling.)

One year my kids and I were stunned to see boot prints on the roof. Now the skeptic in me says it was a joke or an intruder, the christmas spirit/kid in me says it was Santa Claus.

I too wonder about what costumes my parents had because one easter when I was little, I saw the shadow of a large rabbit in the hallway.
You know, some people believe in "tulpas", thought forms, so maybe the larger belief of children DOES make it real....
