So recently I have noticed that my Welsh Harlequins color is not the same as her past and it also made me think if she is a crossed breed or a pure breed.

My understanding is it takes a couple years before they are fully colored up.
She looks pure to me....but I am no expert.
Where did you get her? Hatcheries don't sell mixed breed ducks as far as I know.

I got her from another person about 2 years ago and her feather colors have gotten darker and more brown that the past. Some of her babies come out mallard mixed but I’m not sure if all Welsh Harlequins are from malllards.

I just got a male Welsh Harlequin today too. Does this one look pure breed? Thanks

He does to me. His feet are oddly colored though.....they should have bright orange feet on the males and brown(ish) feet on the females.
I do have a female that is off color both bill and feet so it happens sometimes.

Thanks, planning to breed something different every year. Got a flock with other mixed breeds I hatched but planning for next year of trying to get pure breeds.
