Is she a roo?

So, we are new with chickens. I have a salmon Faverolle that I’m worried might be a roo! I heard if they have black feathers it’s a rooster. Is that true? This is our SF, Madonna

Yep, that's a cockerel. Pullets are a totally different pattern.

I agree that it's a male. But they are so docile that they make wonderful roosters.

Ohhh yeah, that's a boy. The fellas are sweethearts though so still not too bad.Here is a female on the left, male on the right.
