I know but I want fertile eggs so they will hatch. I dont want to eat any.You don't need a rooster to get eggs. Your hen is still young, so give her time.

That might be a problem... I'm not sure how broody Barred Rocks are, so if you want chicks, you might have to get one that will actually sit on eggs. None of my RIR, Rocks or Leghorns have ever acted broody.I know but I want fertile eggs so they will hatch. I dont want to eat any.
Ive seen the word "Broody" alot. What does that mean? I was thinking about putting them in a incubator and doing them that way.That might be a problem... WIll mites/lice look like a small bit of drandruff from just looking at them?
