Is She Broody?

Last summer we had a tornado hit us, no warning at all, messed up the barn pretty good, scared me to the point I no longer like storms! no chicken was harmed in the wrath of Nature lol! just the building. What kind'a treats do y'all feed your chickens?

Yike that sounds scary! Pretty much anything! lol They get all our leftover vegies, cooked or not. Old bread,stale cereal,garden scraps and culls, dried mealworms, lot's of greens and in the fall an occasional pumpkin! What do your's like?

They love the heck out of corn on cob, and Watermelons, also give them apple sauce mixed with scratch, and I give Raisens. and on thanksgiving I gave them the carcus of the turkey and they went to town until another animal took the rest of it away. and other treats I have given them, Banana's, Apples, kidney beans, bread, grapes, strawberries.

A turkey Carcass!! That's new, and to think I was wasn't going to mention that sometimes I give mine chicken noodle soup! HA

I forgot to mention, I also give them Scrambled eggs! lol~

We're all good The hens are out in the yard being hens pecking around and looking like T-rex's when they run!
And how're you?

I'm Okey Doke!! Today I tried to remove my roosters spur..geez is that ever hard!! I pulled and twisted and still couldn't manage to get the dang thing off! So are your hens sitting at all? Your right chickens are so totally dino's. Ever see a quail? I swear that there raptors!!
