Is She Broody?

Then it could just be from the laying. Do you know if it just happened or if it had been that way for a while? Like I said most of my top producers look worn out and are missing most of their belly feathers. The other option is......mites!

Weird. Maybe someones plucking her? Or she's plucking herself? I don't know for sure though!

You alright you seem to be in a one line kinda mood. I actually kind of am to. How's your hand?

I'm not sure why shes balding, she didn't molt like the other's did she layed eggs all season.
And my arm is slowly gettingg better, typing with it now, stiffish.

Well then maybe that's it. A delayed molt. I give my ducks cat food when they molt to raise the protein level and help them grow their feathers back faster. Not sure but you could probably do the same for chickens.

And I am glad that your arm is healing. Can't imagine how much that probably hurt!

I have my wrist wrapped back it still hurts they need to maky a phone app for byc easier to text lol
and shes stil laying eggs

Okay so everyone I talked to said it really only happens if there broody. So what if she plucked them out when she was kinda broody and you just hadn't noticed yet? Is that possible?

Maybe. Not sure D: Still new with chickens
And, can i cut duck toe nails? They're VERY long on my Mallard, like just noticed today that they're pretty long.. and twisting.

Yeah you can cut them. You do it just like a dog's, cutting a little at a time making sure you don't cut into the quick (the blood vein in the middle). In fact it sounds like you really need to lol !!! Come to think of it I should check mine as well!
