I told my dad I think she's a amber link / amber star. he said "no way!!". this is the man who said "maybe clairee is a clarence".. sigh. She is not a amber link / amber star though, right? don't those lay brown eggs? She lays white eggs.

yeah, me neither! LOL. Either way, she's very pretty. She's mostly white, stands out in my flock.

Our California Whites are just white with some black flecks and yellow legs and lay nice white eggs. They came from our feedstore so I’m not sure what hatchery, but they usually have chicks that end up being pretty good representatives of their breed.

ps one of them ‘Holly Wood’ is our star chicken in the ‘friendly with humans’ category. She just loves hanging out where the action is.

My California White is an amazing egg machine -- started laying in mid-December (hatched at the end of June), and has missed only 1 day since.

Chipotle is a mischief-maker; the most amusing bird in my flock. She flies in and out of the pen at will and can almost always be found perching up high.

OMG, I posted about mine a few pages later, but they sound really similar. .
