Last night my girls were heading in the front door of the coop to roost and I went in to lock them up. I found one of my hens dead in the corner. My husband looked at it ( I couldn't) He said it got it throat and also opened the whole body up. Later I noticed one of my other hens had been bitten in the rear.(She is okay!!) So we left the "bait" out in hope of trapping and killing whatever came back to get it. Well this morning we caught a skunk right in the act and luckily we were able to "do away with him". My question is would a skunk attack chickens in all the spots that I listed above.??? TIA
