Let's start by saying I have kids. Curious ones who somehow discovered where the DIY cooler incubator is and how to access it.. They opened the lid. It couldn't have been open long but the temp dropped to 30.8c (87.4F) Please Tell me that all hope isn't lost. We're day 5. And they were/are doing so well.
Today's Candeling:

The internal temps of the egg doesn't cool off as quick as the air temp. If it wasn't that long I'd say you have next to nothing to worry about. Candle tomorrow and I am betting they're good.

I'm going to guess it could have been 20 minutes max. They were still slightly warm to the touch. And it warmed back up in about 1 minute. I'm ridiculously anxious and nervous about this. Lol.

In nature a mother hen will get off the eggs for much longer then 20 mins and the eggs will get much cooler then 87.4F. You have nothing to worry about the eggs should be perfectly fine.

That was my original thought, But then was thinking that incubating them could be way different. Thanks for the small reality check. Lol. I needed it.
