Is their poop normal?

It could be from grass, dirt and grubs. I don't see anything that concerning, poop can be all colors depending on diet.
I would make sure they have a source of grit too:)

I add wood ash to my run when I have it - I see pitch black poop for many days afterward because they also eat the charred pieces.
They do have a grit source :) thanks! Mine love to eat the ash I use for their dust bath area as well

Do 5-6 week old chicks need a grit source? I am feeding Purina chick medicated feed. One of mine seemed to have a cecal poop today. It was a brownish red but it wasn’t bloody looking.
imho, yes.
Chicks need grit from day one even if they are only eating chick starter.
Chicken have 2 types of poop - cecal and "normal". They will have a cecal poop about 1 out of every 8-10 "normal" poops. So you should be seeing cecal poop throughout the day.
