Is there a certain time of day when the hens will lay?

My Buff Orps lay around mid-day. Never early and never late.

Mine lay around 10am and have started actually using the nesting box today instead of just dropping them in the coop! Yay!

I am beginning to think that a couple of mine are laying late in the evening after I let them out to free range. They're stashing their eggs somewhere because they're not turning up in the nest boxes!

Some of mine start laying 7:30am and some finish up after 6pm.

One of my BO (23 weeks old) laid last week and may have this week; I have BR and SLW that are just starting so hard to id who is laying all the small eggs if I'm not right there watching.

I think each bird has her own time to lay. Most of mine lay midday, but some lay very early and all are done by 4-ish.

My 1 bo hen lays between 11am 5pm I don't get any early eggs. ..sobs. if they laid earlier I might get more eggs a week.
