My little one is named Solar, she's a very loving and sweet little gosling I saved and raised since she was a few days old. The girlfriend of my brother can no longer keep her and I'm not sure what to do. They only let me know when I was visiting Georgia to visit family for the summer and I'm super low on money as I'm full time college student. I'm so stressed on what to do and I'm running out of ideas after 2 weeks of trying over and over again to finda place for my baby girl and staring at flights that are too darn expensiveto fly bck early.

They wanted to just drop her off into the wild as is but she'll die if they just release her. Is there anyone or any farm willing to take her in?? With someone who's willing to love and care for her as family. If possible a place that allows maybe a visit a few times a year. She's a good baby. Q~Q

We live in the Bay area in Northern California.

If there is anyone willing to contact with interest of adopting her or has an idea of any sanctuaries. Although I've contacted most, there may be some in which I haven't seen yet. ♡

I’m going to keep searching for sanctuaries, there’s also Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary which is much closer to the Bay Area

Considering that your goose/gosling is a Canada goose that complicates things. Canada geese are federally protected migratory birds, which means it is illegal to take them from the wild or keep them without a permit. There are many wild animal and water fowl rescues and rehabbers that you could also contact, the aim would be to release her into the wild if she’s considered releasable, if she’s considered unable too due to lacking skills she would need to survive in the wild or if she’s too human friendly she’ll most likely be deemed non releasable and in that case the rehabber will seek alternative homes such as a sanctuary for her to live.
Contacting those sanctuaries, including those I’ve listed is no guarantee they won’t refer you back to a rehabber because of the possible legal issues, but I’m really not sure, in her case I think it’s best for her to go to a sanctuary because she’s human bonded which decreases her likelihood of survival in the wild, and legally without a permit you would end up in a lot of trouble if you tried to transport her to Georgia.
