Is there a Rooster outlet in Maine?

I am not asking for money for them if you are a breeder who wants a good quality EE or if you don't really need, need, need another rooster but you can't-can't-can't resist such a Beau-T-ful bird, hee hee, or if you just would love a pretty self winding alarm clock/lawn ornament! If you're looking for chicken dinner, they are $50.00 plus shipping and handling!

I'm going to try the links if it's OK with the parental advisors! Thanks to everyone!

I've got 6 EE girls and was thinking I could cross them with my Phoenix roo and get long tails with the blue egg gene. But from my research it seems that the rooster may be responsible for the egg color and the hen for the tail length... so I would need to cross an EE roo with a long tailed hen to get long tailed blue egg layers. I do have some Araucana eggs going in the bator...but I think that would possibly cancel out the long tail.

Okay...blah, blah blah....yes he would be a pet. As long as he behaves he has a home here. I might change my mind when I see them on which one I want when I get there, but definitely going to be one of the trio there.

BYC is sooo bad and so good for me all at once!!

PS...I'm not that far from you if you are in the Monmouth area...I can pick him up Monday or anytime during the week before 5pm so I don't have to explain to DH that I am going to pick up yet another bird....

Great! Maybe I can meet you at the Maine mall! Good excuse to get in a little quality shopping! Kill 2 birds with one stone. Yiii...did I say that? I think I have one going on Sunday, if I can get it to NH. They want the red/black one in picture #3. The other 2 red/blacks have beautiful color too. One is more orangy and doesn't have those long tail feathers but I think he may have had them pulled off by one of the others. He is the less dominate male of the three.

The Auburn Mall? I can do that....but I'm not going all the way down to Portland! I'm only 10 miles from Auburn so that'd be good. I'll PM you.

They are beautiful! I am in Cape Elizabeth Maine and just lost 4 hens (two black Japanese bantams, one buff Orpington and one barred rock) in 2 days to hawks and a red fox.

If I were flush in hens (which I am looking for) I would take a couple of your roo's.

If you know of anyone who needs homes for laying hens, please let me know! Good luck!
