Is there anybody in this egg?

Well we have a new ducky to look forward too so that is exciting. And nothing came out of the egg and ate Saigey and Downey.
I'm not even gonna lie, that was starting to be a concern. 😮 Now, the question is, just one new duckie, @Miss Lydia and others? I was thinking just one so that Downey knows it's a buddy for him....... And, seriously, that would've been the coolest way for the zombie apocalypse to start.

He may not take to a duckling as you know but he will eventually warm up to another duck buddy.
That's exactly how it was with Jackie. He was not a fan at all, but I did slow introductions just like you explained and they eventually became best buddies. He is not a fan of swimming in the lake (he prefers his pool) or going off in the woods (he prefers his little garden space) but he stayed right by her side until she decided she was ready to go. Then he came home, she didn't, and she comes back to visit and does fly-bys, but he doesn't go after her. He's such a good little man. I just got a text that the guy is delayed for 2 weeks, but I texted him back and hopefully he'll have some hatching then, too. I don't think I could do a 4 1/2 hour each way drive.

Yaaaaaay, I heard back from him and his calls are still laying, so he should have a little hatchling or 2 in 2 weeks! It's also going to rain almost every day for the next 2 weeks so Downey will be busy and happy hunting earthworms! :wee
Also.... I'm scared to death of random eggs now. Just saying.

The babies are going to be here Friday! I'm getting two, just because I know they do better with a buddy when they're babies. Downey is not going to be a fan, but he will love them by winter. I think he really misses having a friend.

Welcome to my two new snowy calls, Loki and Cap!!!!!! Downey is being SUCH a good boy. He hasn't bothered them at all.
