Is there anyone you didn't feel comfortable selling to?

Temporary Restraining Order. If he'd actually hit me, it wouldn't be temporary. As it is, there'll be a hearing where he has to show up and give a really good reason for it to not be temporary. The cops will be showing up to testify on my behalf.

Best to weed them out with a few emails 1st. I have had people mad at me for refusing them animals. I hope that they read this post and reflect. I sell to many wonderful people! This should not deter you from selling. I would focus on direct sales and quit the farm tours!!!! NO TOURS!!

I have dealt with some strange people over the years. Some who have given me the cheaps. I had one of my sweetest dogs back a man off the porch once and I trusted her to know that was a bad person.

I have to say your situation really left me speechless. Wow, hope you don't here from them again. I am shocked that parents would allow their child to act like that and then act in such horrible way themselves.

I am also in the legal profession. (I work for a local area Police Department.) You absolutely did the right thing. It is scary sometimes how many cases we see where similar confrontations happen (not necessarily about birds in my city) and things go bad quickly. Good job getting the TRO. Yes, it's a piece of paper, but it can be much more than that if, God forbid, something were ever to happen.

I would have hit the kid long before it went that far... thats for SURE! My child is 2 and understand authority more then that child ever will.

That is just soooooooooooo unbelievable... they way you said it I'm thinking... no way! But like, that was so scary real it had to have happened like that!?WOW!

I had a similiar experience, but no means to that level.

I had listed a rescue ferret I had online (at a reputable rescue ferret online group) looking for someone who had 1 already, about the same age. (My ferrets' best friend was older then her and passed away right before I had my daughter and could not take on another ferret at that point, so she needed a friend).

This lady writes me thats she's interested, but doesn't have another ferret... I told her I'd prefer someone who already had one, because they get lonely and she needs to bond.

So another lady contacts me and has one, and would like to come by and the ferrets 'play time' for a day together to see how they got a long before we moved forward. Just what I wanted! (which she worked out!)

But that other lady would not stop emailing me, and threatening me and telling me she was the first to contact me to take it and I HAD to give it to here now! It was a deal and contract and I could be arrested!

It was a bit looney!

I'm sure this was a very nerve-shattering experience for you (tho it sounds like you handled it exactly right), but I'm sorry, I just had to laugh out loud at the above part of it.

People!
