Is there such thing as a "gentle rooster" help me choose what's right!

I think you should get an adult rooster, so you know what his temperament will be.

Yah you cant tell the temperament until they get their hormones. Or if you get some youngsters to raise, I would get 5 males in various breeds and then pick your favorite at 6 months old, and eat the others. For colors not based on black, I would get a BLRW, a brahma, a buff orpington, a saipan (personal favorite), and an easter egger, if it was me. The faverolle sounds nice too but havent tried them. I can never seem to pick favorites though so I end up with tons of roosters and separate them from the hens in a bachelor coop if hens are overloaded.

Getting a grown rooster sounds like more of a risk to me. Most people don't want to sell a docile rooster, and there's no guarantee how it will be when you get it home. If you raise it yourself there is more of a chance it will see you as dominant. Either way there is no 100% guarantee
