is this a boy or a girl?

I bought them at TSC as production layers. I had two young children with me and forgot to look at the specific breed. The lady told me they were 90% sure they were all hens...

This sounds like our TSC. The bin label said White Leghorn, Tetra Tint, Golden Comet, and a few others that are clearly NOT white chickens...we were given the same odds. I posted a few weeks ago, about the same age as yours - and everyone said Roo until they learned they were White leghorn or Tetra Tint, then they changed their tune to pullets...I sure hope so for my sanity's sake!!

I'm not ready for a roo, but we will take care of him/her either way. :) I'm just anxious to know what I ended up with from TSC. Hey, we are from NC too!

I'd definitely wait a little while before deciding what to do with it. I'm thinking it could be pullet, but I'm not sure. I didn't see where you say what age it is. (maybe you didn't). I'd give it a little while. My tetra tints are changing quickly. They were all white and had a black spot or two. Now they're like the picture shows. I do have one White Leghorn as well. That one I hatched. The bin I got my TT's out of specifically said Tetra Tint pullet. I did get some red pullets too from the "red bin". They've turned out to be Golden Comets, of which I already had 2 laying hens. Their assorted bantam bin I got lucky and got the last 2 they had and they are Golden Sebright's, and they're looking like a male and a female! Some of the other chicks I hatched at the same time as my leghorn and the same time I purchased at TSC are definitely unmistakably Roos.

Aren't you lucky, we got the last two bantams in their bin and ended up with 2 real pretty Buff Cochin cockerals!!

We picked up our chicks on March 4th...so we're about a month ahead of you. What part of NC are you from? We're near the center of the state - Greensboro area.
