Success! I finally got him to nibble on some real starter crumbles.Also bear in mind that if you're duckling is eating anything other than commercial feed you will need to provide grit. I would forget the peas and eggs for now and concentrate on getting it to eat real food.
Sometimes offering it in a wet mash works.
he is drinking on his own as well. He is doing better than expected. Took the cardboard bootie off because he kept tipping on his back. 
At one point today he walked with his little leg all the way behind him for about 10 seconds. Other than his leg all is well. He is so cute. My friend came by to checkup on him today and she was glad he was looking good.

That's just what they do. It'll be okI’m not sure how much food he is actually getting down. After he picks at it he shakes his head and it comes out again.

Idk if that can be corrected or not. I'd be anxious to see if it can swim ok. Maybe tomorrow you could fill a sink with warm water and see how it does. Might be good therapy for the foot as well.

Oh, no! Poor peepers. I know you did all you couldI’m devastated. The poor little guy didn’t make it. Little peepers passed away this morning. He has very lethargic and barley reacting. He kept getting worse and he passed. I had woken up to check on him through the night and he was doing good. Peeping, and trying to escape the cup. I am just so upset right now I don’t know what happened.
