hey I'm not sure if my chicken is a buff orpington because she's not as "hefty" as the Orps are. so what do you think?

She looks like an orp to me, I have some that are smaller than their sisters but were hatched at the same time from the same parents.
I like that picture, the one on the bottom looks less than pleased, its funny when they all want to squeeze into the same nest box.

her leg is in the picture.... she shouldn't be a mix because I got her from my local feed store... and the hen underneath her seemed to like the warmth from her!

She looks more like one of the sex linked production breeds. Like a Cinnamon Queen, Red Comet, Red Star, Red Sex Link, etc. She could be a cross with a Buff Orpington though. Orpingtons tend to be "fuller" looking throughout their bodies, with a wider back and looser feathers.

Don't let local feed stores fool you into believing that you're getting 100% pure chicks...

Must agree with urbanfarmboi, I wouldn't put all my stock in the feed store employee's knowledge on things. Plus, there could have been someone mixing chicks up when they were holding them. She isn't an Orp, and I would guess a Gold Comet or the like who does or will lay white eggs.
