Do any one know how many days it takes for hen to go back to normal after baby chicks hatch. ?

A hen will look after her babies as long as she thinks she needs to. Some are back to laying by 5-6 weeks after they hatch, others take a bit longer.

That's your Dixie Rainbow. They vary a bit in coloring and they are definitely a mix.

I don't think you meant to post this here. There is a board for illness/injury if you have questions about home treatment but that sounds like a trip to the vet is required.

Definitely not a buff orp. Is she feeling okay, her posture and her eyes don't look right.

Yes she is not doing well, was not doing so well I should say. I had a different thread asking about that. But she died in her sleep last night. It's still good to know what breed she is though.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Not that it matters now, but with yellow legs, she definitely wasn't a BO.

I was surprised to find out how young she was - I know it's tough to get them to pose nicely for photos, but she did not look well at all. The comb and the eyes are signs of that.

She probably had other issues - I do not think one night out in the cold did that to her.
