Is This a Buff Orpington?

I was sold this chick at a few days old from a feed store as a Buff Orpington. Now I’m wondering if it’s something else as all the pictures I see online, Buff Orpingtons are much lighter and my chick is darker. My chick is now 6 weeks old. And any guesses on gender would be great too! Thanks!

Agree, she is more red then expected, though there is some variation in their coloring. Hard to tell leg color, are they yellow or more pink? Could still be a buff orpington.
It is a pullet. 😊

I’m so glad you’re saying pullet! Yay!! Her legs are very yellow, not pink at all.
 
I've found that Buff/RIR mixes are very common in hatcheries. Could be something like that. She sure looks the same color as my Buff/RIR babies did. She seems a bit to light to be RIR, but definitely to dark to be Buff. We'll have to wait and see!
Possibly that. If not than she’s likely just a production red. :)
