Not a stupid question. You're not eating a baby chick if you eat a fertile egg. But even if you were... are you a vegetarian? Do you eat chicken (even just supermarket chicken)? If so, I'm not sure I see the problem. As long as you gather eggs regularly (daily) there will be no baby chicken surprises inside your eggs.

Having grown up with bothsets of grandparents that raised chickens, beef, goats, etc. you never thought to ask that question!!! Only when they were going to start laying again when they stopped!!!

i guess it wasn't really a problem to begin with, just wanted to see everyone's views
