Is this a Golden Campine?

This was my sons roo, Hercules. He was killed by a neighbors dog the other day. I don't know how he got out of the chicken coop but I suspect one of the neighborhood kids was messing with the chickens.

My son has been very upset over the loss of his favorite chicken. He wants me to find another one for him because he loved the way he looked.

It looks like a Golden Campine except for the comb. I read that GC's have single combs but this boy had a rose comb.

Any ideas?

Wow, you are right, he does except for that comb!

Sorry I can't be more help. He is beautiful though. Maybe he IS a GC, but just had a "throwback" gene? (sorry.. hate that word to describe someone so pretty)

Thank you. I haven't checked this post in a while. My son will be thrilled when I tell him we can find him another one next Spring. He was bummed when I told him it was a Golden Campine but had a different comb and I didn't think we would find another one like it.
