Is this a good feed for quail?...

Just found out that the comany I get the feed from is making this feed for quail, I was wondering if is good enough since is 20 % protein...what do you think?

Too Low For Me

I wouldn't feed it unless I had to. By natural I assume this is an organic feed? If it is, it isn't worth a penny to me. It is worse quality feed for a higher price. Doesn't fit in to my logic. I don't see any animal protein, Most feeds will have it. This is part of why think it is organic. This will not work as starter, for one it is layer pellets and it is too low in protein for me. Some people will try to sell you Dumor, purina stater, or flockraiser. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Purina make Dumor for TSC?

Here is a typical PM Feed tag for product #5419
I feed this from hatch to dispatch with coturnix quail. I don't know jack about pheasants, bobs, or Zambian Gutter snipes. It serves me well!

Is GBS too low in calcium for layers that you aren't going to dispatch? If I keep the females for egg production, would you suggest switching them to layer or keeping them on GBS still?

Totally separate question: I can only get medicated Gamebird Startena but I can get unmedicated Gamebird Layena. Does the medication change your answer for the first question above?

Quail Will Do Fine With Gbs... They Arent Like Chicens In That They Are Quite Accomplished In Absorbing And Using Many Elements And Nutrients (such As Calcium) From Their Diet. Strait Gbs And No Calcium Suppliments Will Get You The Same Things As Any Other Feed Or Combination= Eggs, Normal Healthy, Viable Eggs
