Is this a growth or what on my ducklings toe? (*PICS)

I just noticed this on my 3 week old rouen's toe. None of the others have this. It looks like it has tendrils on it almost like a growth. What do you think? Anyone ever seen this? There's no kind of discharge or anything and she/he doesn't see to act like it bothers him/her. The first pic is a normal size and the second is up close.

Anybody home? Just wondering what this is. My daughter (9) thinks it's 'bumbletoe' (not bumblefoot. I don't think that but that's why I'm asking. I need a second opinion or more.

I can see where she'd get the idea of bumble toe.. I've never seen it in a duck first hand so I can't chime in on that. Will the duck let you soak his toe/foot in some warm betadine solution? Then I'd give the cheesy looking stuff a wiggle and see if it yields to the pressure. Strange. best of luck!
