is this a hen or rooster?

What makes you say a Roo? The comb? Why would he not have spurs yet? Is that something that comes later?

If he is a "he" I will not be able to keep him. I will have to rehome him. I can only have 4 hens.

Oh, and about her attitude. Maybe she's just hitting a grumpy, teenage year. Chickens establish a pecking order, and it may look like it hurts them badly, but it's their nature. They'll survive, usually...

What if she was not a true hybrid? Her mother was just some random white chicken (mutt) can they still be considered a sex link? I am still learning all this. So much info

I was convinced she was a hen till a few days ago. Now I am so confused...

I'm guessing hen.
A sex link is a color sex link bird, breed doesn't matter, it's the colors. A dominant colored hen bred to a rec. roo will make you rec. colored hens and dominant color Roos, so the Roos will look like the mum and the hens will be colored like the roo (ie, if black is dominant then a black hen bred to a red roo (if red is rec.) will result in black Roos and red hens, but I don't think black is dominant or red rec. just a random example). I don't know if white is rec. or dominant.,

I'm tentatively guessing hen, based on her parentage, but it seems like she may have some darker patches on her body which look rooey to me... Could you post a side shot of her?

I just gave him away. The lady that took him knows a lot about chickens and told me he was for sure a Rooster

SO sad to see the little devil go....

I guess that the farmer I got him from was wrong about him being a true Sex link. You can only go by what people tell you. I just hope they give "him" a good home.

It's rare to sex a sex link wrong, thus their name.

Usually, hens are the ones picking on each other.

What did she say that led her to believe "he" is a rooster? Feather shape? Comb size?

Interesting...
