Can someone help me with this? I found it yesterday under the area my chicken roost when I was cleaning the coop (poop zone). I have 4 hens... I have noticed that occasionally this spring one of them has had eggs without shells and they are in the "poop zone" not the nest box. All my hens act healthy and I have no idea which is having the shell problem. I cut into this with a plastic knife and it was firm.
Since I don't know what it is, I have no idea what to do... if anything. I feed them layena feed and give them oyster shell. They have a lot of room and good ventilation...
