Today I found this small thing in the coop floor. Don't know which of my exbatts layed it. Since the last few days they're non laying and recently I sometimes find broken fragile shelled eggs. They're about two years old, feeded with all flock 20% protein, no treats and oysters shell always available. Weather is fine, 22/27°C temperature. What's happening? I have Augmentin 125mg pills available at home, it's a good idea to administer it to all of them? And, eventually, how much?
Thank you in advance!

Yes that appears to be a lash egg, a solid mass of infection feom salpingitis (inflammation of the oviduct.) Antibiotics may or may not be effective, but augmenten would be a pretty good one to use. I would only medicate the one who laid that. But since you don’t know which one laid, I would try to find which one. Do any have their tail down?

Thank you so much!
One of them is not as lively as always and her comb is paler and floppy, she is eating willingly, but less than the others

@Eggcessive can you please tell me the Augmentin 125mg tablet dosage?
Can you look at the label, and tell me how much amoxicillin is in each tablet? Maximum dosage of amoxicillin is 57 mg per pound, and minimum would be half that. Augmenten and clavamox are the same medication, and both contain amoxicillin.
